THE SITUATION 95% of the lost world is outside of the U.S., however, 95% of all Christian leaders, books, resources, concerts, music, training, conferences, etc. are inside of the U.S. That means that 95% of all Christianity is focused on 5% of the unreached peoples of the world. Something is DEAD WRONG with that picture. I believe it to be a lack of faith and vision on the part of the Western Church. We have fallen asleep in our focus on ourselves and have become weak & anemic as a result. THE RESULT Consequently, statistics show that 85% of all churches in America are stagnant or in decline, while the church in Asia, Africa, South America, and the Middle East are experiencing tremendous growth, similar to the 1st century church. Reports also show us that of all the students who spend their entire middle & high school years in our student ministries, only 12% of them continue to go to church after graduation. What does that say about the fruit we are producing? Even better, what does it say about what we are pouring into our students? THE AWAKENING I believe that there’s a movement of true Christ-followers, a generation of students, who desire to touch the world for the glory of God....no matter the cost. The trends of this generation of students tell us that they desire to live for more than a comfortable life of mediocre, middle-class materialism. THEY WANT MORE!! And thus, a revolution is born, and the NEXT GENERATION MISSIONARY emerges!! THE RESPONSE “MOBILIZING STUDENTS” was launched as a strategic effort to give churches, student ministries, schools, and campus ministries a safe, full-service, inexpensive way to engage their students in global missions all over the world.
